We would like to thank all 245 riders from 31 nations and their supporters joining the Masters Tour of Chiang Mai 2016 on last October 21 to 24 and making it a huge success.
The idea of Masters of age category cycle racing enjoys an increasing popularity around the globe. With “MTCM”, we especially attract an ever more competitive range of riders in each category. With Paul Miller, Andrew Brierley and Keld Fjord, for example, we had the newly crowned UCI Gran Fondo World Champion as well as the first and second runner up with us.
In 2017, we are planning to split all riders into 3 pelotons, so we may cater for some more riders and may as well try to group more homogenously. Instead of 3 road stages, there will only be 2, rounded up by a circuit race on a very nice, traffic free 5 km circuit with rolling hills and finally of course the classic ITT up Doi Suthep.
During the event you will be based in the city of Chiang Mai, as all stages start rolling start from Hotel Sirinart Garden, our race headquarters and finish within cycling distance from there.
In response to your feedback from previous races we will once again offer you a full service stay at the “Kantary Hills Chiang Mai”: Riders and team members will be able to book the package at that nice 4-star hotel located right in Nimmanhaemin area, only 2 kms away from the race headquarters. Details for the MTCM 2017 package will be released soon.
Next year’s dates are from October 21-24, 2017 and you are all most welcome to join!
There will be some change as to the stages: stage 2’s road race will be replaced by a fine circuit race. Find detailed information as to the 4 planned stages at the MTCM stages overview page
